On a low carb or keto diet and want to snack? Here are 5 yummy snack ideas

If you happen to be on a low carb or keto diet, you still find yourself hungry. You want a snack to get you through until your next meal. The problem is that most snacks today are filled with way to many carbs. That doesn’t fit into the low carb or keto lifestyle. No need to worry about snacking and ruining the diet you’ve been on for so long. Here are 5 really great snacks to fit in just nicely with the low carb or keto diet you’re on.

  1. Keto sushi rolls.

If you want to have some great snack food that won’t take a ton of time to make, then try making some keto sushi rolls. What you need to make these is nori seaweed sheets to begin with. This is the wrap you’ll use to roll up your sushi. Then, if you want your sushi the way it’s more traditionally made, then you’ll need to get the fish to do it. It doesn’t have to be sushi-grade style fish either. Plus, if you don’t want the fish, then just make these sushi rolls with lots of veggies.

  1. Avocado egg salad.

What you get with this snack is a bunch of health benefits. Starting with the avocados you get vitamins, minerals, fiber, and heart-healthy fats. All that needs to be done is to make some freshly mashed avocado, diced hardboiled eggs, a bit of minced red onion, and some salt and pepper. The avocado is a substitute for mayonnaise, and that makes a big difference in the health-department way of eating.

  1. Veggie sticks with guacamole.

Start this snack by making slices of your favorite veggies. Carrots, celery, cucumber, and others. Then, make some healthy homemade guacamole by mashing up a fresh avocado, adding some minced red onion, adding lime juice and salt and pepper. If you don’t want to go the super fresh route by making your own, then you can get relatively fresh guacamole at the store. They both make for a great dip for your hand-picked vegetables.

  1. Mixed nuts.

You don’t have to go through a bunch of cooking and blending to get the right low carb or keto snack food to get you through to the next meal. Try some mixed nuts. They are full of nutrients, protein, and fiber. A great snack. If you wanted, you could always add a snack from Fatsnax. Low carb and no sugar snacks to help with your cravings.

  1. Olives for your heart.

Olives are low carb snacks that are full of heart-healthy fats. You can enjoy them by themselves, or you can stuff them for a little added flair.
